Cecchetti
The Cecchetti Method is a method of teaching ballet to children and adults that is ergonomically safe
while stretching the dancer’s abilities and giving them a technical foundation. Dancers will learn a set of
exercises at the barre, in the center and across the floor. These patterns will not change, allowing the
student to memorize the patterns and focus on how their body is executing the movement to improve
their technique and accelerate them through the syllabus. This class is included in all ballet classes from
level four and up. This is an elective class but students that do not take it fall behind their peers’ level of
skill. This method is an effective way for beginners to advanced students to refine their technique while
allowing them to explore their creativity in their non-syllabus class.
